Tasting Notes

Vinous 92+

Pale, bright yellow. Aromas of yellow fruits, honey and white flowers plus notes of anise and menthol. Wonderfully broad, dense and ripe, with strong iodiney minerality; conveys a touch of sucrosite but doesn’t have quite the grip or nuance of the Clos Saint-Marc. Turns distinctly austere on the back end, finishing with a touch of youthful bitterness and a suggestion of almond paste. This very backward wine is best on the nose today. Anticipated maturity: 2021-2030
