The 2018 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Blanc Grand Cru confirms my appraisal from barrel. It has a light candlewax-scented bouquet with hints of undergrowth, wonderful delineation and touches of almond shaving. The palate has a sappy entry, lightly spiced with a twist of sour lemon and tropical notes hovering in the background. Those praline notes remain on the aftertaste. This is a delicious Musigny that will last many years. Tasted at the La Paulee in Beaune.
