Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 91
The Clos Fourtet ’98 is now reaching 15 years old. It offers a lovely ripe, rounded blackberry, mulberry, Chinese tea and incense-scented bouquet that is now fully open. The palate has a sense of femininity on the entry with ebullient red berries, a hint of kirsch and mint towards the ravishing finish. Lovelya such panache. Tasted December 2012. Vinous 88
Bright red-ruby. Highly perfumed nose combines cherry, raspberry, currant and nutmeg. Dense and silky but also bright and nicely delineated; mint and spice notes contribute to its juicy quality. Finishes with slightly dry but even tannins and very good persistence. [Stephen Tanzer, 05/01/2001]
