Description
100% Pinot Noir
This cuvée is crafted to be the perfect introduction to the Château de Laborde style. Sourced from selected parcels near the village of Meursanges, it captures the essence of Burgundian Pinot Noir: elegance, bright fruit, and a refined mineral finish. The 2012 vintage benefited from a warm, dry growing season, resulting in a wine with beautiful concentration and “silky” tannins that make it enjoyable even in its youth.
The Look: A brilliant, clear ruby red with violet highlights.
The Nose: High-toned and aromatic. In recent reviews (January 2026), critics note a “perfumed” bouquet of fresh raspberries, red cherries, and wild strawberries, with subtle undertones of rose petals and a hint of forest floor.
The Palate: Silky and medium-bodied. It lead with crunchy red fruit flavors, supported by a fine-grained tannic structure. The 2022 warmth provides a lovely mid-palate “fleshiness” without losing the classic Burgundian tension.
The Finish: Clean and refreshing, with a lingering note of tart redcurrant and stony minerality.
