The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Village, which is from the same fermage as Cathiard’s Hautes-Cotes, has a very ripe and opulent nose with just a touch of fresh fig filtering through the red fruit. The palate is well balanced with good depth, quite a voluminous Gevrey with a simple, lightly spiced finish. Fine. [Neal Martin, 16/12/2021]
