The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru is a little more backward on the nose compared to the Champ Canet, though it gradually opens with aeration, light sea spray scents complementing the malic fruit. The palate is well balanced with a lightly-spiced entry, quite waxy in texture with orange rind and quince towards the vibrant and pretty finish. Very fine. [Neal Martin, 03/02/2022]

Cask sample. Light, creamy nose. Broad and richer than most but still with good, well-integrated acidity. Neat and as yet fairly unformed. Good length though. [10/01/2022]
