Tasting Notes
Vinous 94
The 2017 Morey-Saint-Denis Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet of raspberry, black currant, smoke and tobacco, building nicely with aeration and becoming quite intense after 10-15 minutes. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins and good structure, quintessentially Morey in style, displaying ample salinity and a judicious touch of spice. This has great length plus a sense of reserve. Built for the long term. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting. [Neal Martin, 18/01/2022]
Anticipated maturity: 2024-2050
