Producer Profile
Lady Laroze wines was created by Guy Meslin. He made this wine to thank ladies, ladies who have worked at Château Laroze and he wanted to thank them for their contribution to the best possible wine.
Saint-Emilion has a very good reputation all over the world, due in large part to the quality of its grand crus. The Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation does not correspond to a specific terroir, but rather to a strict selection that is renewed every year. Only the best wines in the appellation succeed in obtaining the right to call themselves grands crus. The Château Larozebelongs to family Meslinsince 1610. In 2010, to mark the four centuries of their presence on the land Laroze Guy Meslin decided to honor women who have helped to preserve the family estate with a new wine called “Lady Laroze.”
The vineyard spreads over 27 hectares and is located at the bottom of the hill northwest of Saint Emilion. Harvest are manual and the vinification is traditional with control of temperatures. The wine is aged in oak barrels of French oak.
