Small estate of 4.5 hectares, Chateau La Fleur Pourret is situated at the
western end of the limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion and 250 meters from
the entrance of the medieval town. It is this typical terroir of the appellation
that attracted the attention of the Manoncourt family, owner of Chateau
Figeac, who purchased it in 2002. Ever since, the team of the 1st Grand Cru
Class. takes care of the vines and the wines of la Fleur Pourret.
The wines of Chateau La Fleur Pourret harmoniously express the fruitiness
and roundness of the Merlot as well as the freshness of the Cabernet Franc
which represents the blend at practically equal levels.
AGEING: over 15 to 18 months. 90% in barrels of one wine, 10% in new barrels.
BLEND: 50% Merlot – 40% Cabernet franc – 10% Cabernet sauvignon.
TERROIR: Clay and limestone.
