Tasting Notes
Vinous NR
The 2015 Larcis Ducasse has a strange nose with oxtail scents, dried blood aromas infusing the black fruit. The palate is rich and opulent with layers of red berry fruit and much more representative of the bottle tasted last year. There is no way I can score this but will taste another bottle. Tasted at the Larcis Ducasse vertical in Bordeaux. [Neal Martin, 06/10/2020]

Tasted blind. Toast and lift and interest on the nose here, but it’s a bit heavy and stodgy. Rather raw tannins on the end. Dry, sudden finish. [23/01/2019]

"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Larcis Ducasse opens with opulent scents of blueberry pie, baked plums and spice cake with nuances of unsmoked cigars, dusty soil, licorice and a touch of salami. Big, rich, full-bodied and incredibly impactful on the palate, it proudly struts its bold black and blue fruits with a plush, velvet-textured cape, finishing long and spicy."
