Description

Denomination:
Amarone della Valpolicella Docg Riserva.

Alcohol contenent:
16,5% voI.

Production area:
A blend of the best grapes from the
vineyard we have on the Valpolicella Doc area: locality Campiano, over Cazzano di Tramigna.

Grape variety:
30% Corvinone; 40% Corvina; 30%
Rondinella.

Production per hectare: 6 t

Grape harvest: the grapes are picked by hand and placed in the plateaux and set to wither in the fruit grower, where the temperature and humidity are constantly monitored.

Vinification:
the vinification takes place towards the
beginning of January, when the reduction of withdrawal is about 45% and in any case it is always based on the vintage. The fermentation temperature ranges between
23 and 28°C and the duration of maceration is about 20 days, depending on the characteristics of the grape. The wine is then aged in a 30 hl slavonian wood barrel, for 60 months after bottling it remains aging for at least 6 months before being released for consumption.

Characteristics:
Deep ruby. Intense aromas of dark cherry and plum are complicated by cocoa and coffee. Enter rich and fruity, then more floral, finishing long with a refined but very dense, tactile mouthfeel.

Food matches: it combines beautifully with robust dishes such as venison or roast meats and very mature cheeses, but is also a great sipping wine.

Temperature: serve at 20°-22°C

NB: open the bottle one hour before the tasting.

At the beginning of 1970, Aldo Magnabosco had bought at the base of the MonteTondo hill, 3 hectares of vineyards cultivated with Garganega grape and he built hire his house. In the end of 1970’s, Gino was entering the family business, carrying on as the second generation of grape growers, and he made the decision to build a new, larger and technologically advanced cellar. In the middle of 90’s, the third generation started with Stefania, Luca and later with Marta. In the same year, the family decided to restructure the winery and invest their experience in the Valpolicella area by purchasing the first vineyards in the hilly zone of Cazzano di Tramigna, in the locality of Campiano.
