Vinous 89
Good full red. Wild, musky, slightly reduced aromas of dark berries, leather and meat. Very round and seamless, with strong notes of oaky torrefaction. Shows less fruit vibrancy than the Beaux Monts and comes across as more aggressive–and decadent–on the back end. Plenty of power and palate-saturating tannins here. [Stephen Tanzer, 03/01/2012]
