Producer Profile
Domaine Robert Chevillon is widely regarded as royalty in Nuits-Saint-Georges, specializing in meticulous, traditional winemaking that highlights the distinct personalities of the region’s premier crus. Aux Chaignots sits mid-slope just south of Vosne-Romanée, bridging the gap between the muscular depth of Nuits-Saint-Georges and the airy, spice-laden elegance of its famous northern neighbor.
Tasting Profile The 2010 vintage showcases a deep, sustained color leading into a complex, intensely aromatic nose. Initial layers of vibrant red fruit (ripe cherry and pomegranate) gracefully evolve toward soft floral scents, underpinned by hints of smoke and fine minerality. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, structured, and vibrant, featuring a solid core of fruit that leads into a focused, beautifully balanced, and ripely tannic finish.
Serving & Cellaring Now sitting comfortably in its optimal drinking window, this bottle offers a masterclass in mature Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir. Decant gently 30 to 45 minutes prior to serving to let the complex layers open up. Pair alongside classic game dishes like roast duck, venison, or wild goose.
